Centrul IT pentru Stiinta si Tehnologie

CITST, Centrul IT pentru Stiinta si Tehnologie, (RO) is a research-oriented SME targeting integrative approaches to interdisciplinary research. Since it was established in 2007, CITST has been involved in several R&D projects receiving both national grants (15 projects) and international grants (1 FP7, 4 H2020 grants). During the last 8 years, CITST has focused on Ambient Assistive Living applications in which ICT and robotics were employed to drive innovation for a sustainable aging society

Project Role

CITST’s role in CAREPATH is to ensure and coordinate the end-user involvement (TUV and CI studies) through its extensive network built during previous AAL projects. It will act both as end-user organization supervising the pilots as well as technical partner for the deployment of the CAREPATH infrastructure, technical assistance during the pilots, training of end-users, data gathering, etc. At the same time, it will implement all needed measurements for the approval by the Romanian national agencies regarding the clinical studies and the ethical aspects. Its main role will be in WP4, WP5, WP6 and WP7. In WP4 it will lead T4.6- Technical Validation and Usability studies for CAREPATH platform. It will be strongly involved in all WP5 tasks as one of the pilot sites and will lead Task 5.4, and contribute WP6 and WP7 as one of the end user sites.

Team Members

Oana CRAMARIUC

Has a PhD degree (2006) in computational sciences from Tampere University of Technology (TUT), Finland. She was awarded (2013) the title of docent from the same university. She has coordinated the end-user involvement in all AAL projects at CITST. She has extensive international experience in project management, data processing as well as service development, business planning and intellectual property and patents. At TUT, she was involved as project coordinator in two projects funded by the Finnish Academy of Science. At CITST she has been and is currently involved as project or partner coordinator in two European transnational projects and in 3 others as WP leader. Dr. Cramariuc is author and co-author of 50 peer review articles (40 in ISI journal) and has a Hirsch Index of 16. Dr. Cramariuc has three papers awarded by the Romanian National Council for Research and Education and 4 patent applications.

Bogdan Cramariuc

Is co-founder and director of CITST. He obtained his PhD in 2005 from Tampere University of Technology (currently TAU), Finland, with the doctoral thesis "Image Analysis and Understanding Techniques with Application to Content Bases Image Manipulation". He is currently holding a scientific degree of CS-I, equivalent to professor in academia. Dr. Cramariuc has been involved as both partner and project coordinator in more than 30 national and European projects. He is author and co-author of 13 journal articles, over 40 conference articles and 2 patent applications. His previous managerial experience includes also acting as CTO at SuiSoft Oy, an IT Finnish company established in 2000 in Tampere, Finland.

Dorin Ionut Stanciu

Has a PhD in Psychology (2017) from Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai, ClujNapoca, Romania and a PhD in Educational Sciences (2013) from the same university. He is lecturer at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and associated lecturer at Walden University, 100 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis. His main research interests include technology adoption and modelling and virtual communities and online behaviour
